ANALOG
Analog refers to electronic transmission accomplished by adding signals of varying frequency or amplitude to carrier waves of a given frequency of alternating electromagnetic current. The analog cell phone technology was the first one to appear, in the 1980's. Analog service does not provide advanced services such as Short Messages or downloadable ringtones. It is the opposite of digital.
